Who is Ty Pennington Dating?

Do you want to know who is Ty Pennington dating right now? Go ahead and read further to discover the apple of Ty’s eyes of the moment. Ty Pennington, the host of ABC network’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and the carpenter on TLC’s Trading Spaces, is reportedly still dating his manager, Drea Bock. When asked about his relationship status with his long-time girlfriend in his interview with Parade, he claimed that though not they are not yet married, they are still a couple and a team, even.

Ty Pennington’s good luck charm is former model Drea Bock who turned in a manager for the rest of her Hollywood career. Bock is 35 years old and is originally from North Carolina. A famous man had said once that behind every successful man is a woman. Indeed, this is very evident in the Pennington-Bock scenario. Bock manages this handyman heartthrob’s career since the year 1997.

Dating for 11 years is undeniably a stepping stone for getting married. But not for this couple, so it seems. Both parties are satisfied and comfortable with their agreement not to exchange vows at the moment. In fact, Pennington had already indicated his intention of not changing the kind of relationship that they have now.

As for Bock, she said on a Star Magazine interview last 2004 that she does not feel the need to get married either. As a couple, they are having a good time. And there’s no need to change anything seems right. The apparent absence of future marriage plans roots from the way Pennington has continuously nourished their relationship from day one. Pennington and Bock were formerly models. They met through mutual friends and started dating in 1997. They were both staying in Atlanta during that time. Incidentally, that’s also where Pennington spent most of his youth. Pennington isn’t popular then. But even if Ty is enjoying the superstar status right now, Drea says that he hasn’t changed a bit. He’s still the charming and easygoing individual that he used to.

In their earlier days as a couple, around the year 1999, Ty and Drea bought an 1882 Victorian bungalow at the Grant Park neighborhood in Atlanta. By the year 2000, they managed to acquire their second home which is in Venice, California. During their stay there, the couple loves to lie on the beach and go surfing anytime they wish.

An incident that reinforced their relationship as a couple happened during their flight from Chicago to Los Angeles in 2007. Bock was furious because they had to take a dramatic last minute entrance to their flight instead of waiting for the next plane. Thankfully, the peacemaker in Pennington made her calm down. And she loved him more for it.

Another interesting fact about Ty Pennington is his ritual every time he’s on a plane that’s taking off. He also does the same thing whenever the plane lands. He habitually crosses his finger on his right hand and sits still with his hands on his legs to lessen his anxiety. Bock doesn’t usually pay attention to this ritual since she has seen him doing the same thing over and over again for several years now.

Pennington and Bock’s lifestyle have definitely gone beyond the boyfriend-girlfriend relationship status. And it is just a matter of time before they decide when the formality of marriage will come. That is, if they really wanted to do so. If Ty’s work doesn’t force him to live on the road doing his duties for his reality show, he normally goes home in Los Angeles with Bock. Pennington owns a 1924 bungalow house in Los Angeles which reflects his personality and style - very much the handyman everyone knows that he is. Also, the house is not very far from the beach where the couple enjoys their mutual hobby, surfing.

Pennington is basically living a normal life despite of his copious work as a TV show host, off-the-wall carpenter, and a home design guru as he claims that he is in E’s Hollywood True Story. Not only does he host the famous reality show, he is also the ambassador for the Sears Dream American Campaign. As an update to the Pennington-Bock relationship status, there are rumors saying that the couple is expecting to wed and finally settle as a family when Pennington gets lesser work load and traveling due to his commitments.

Who is Ty Pennington dating? Well, it’s no other than his girlfriend-manager, Drea Bock.

How Would You Like To Have Some Serious "POP" in Your Golf Swing?

My Friends know me as a fairly long hitter.

I swing hard to get maximum clubhead speed.

Because I swing hard, it is sometimes difficult to stay in sequence.

That means that at impact it not exactly perfect. Or better said, it was yet another miss-hit.

A mis-hit means that I just lost a ton of distance. Every time I do this I promise my self I will pay closer attention to my pace and swing sequence so that I can get closer to the sweat spot of the clubhead.

And it will allow me to do the one thing that I know I must in order to get the maximum out of the club I am using at that moment.

If it’s the driver, there is really only one thing that I want t accomplish, hit it in the fairway, oh and of course hit it a mile. So it’s really two things.

Does one beget another. Or are the two absolutely not compatible?

We should understand that when a PGA/LPA player hits the ball off the tee, with the driver, they are not swinging EASY. Most of them are swinging just under what is as hard as they can. I know it looks easy but it is absolutely not.

Look at Ernie Els. He is so smooth it is like a hot knife through butter. Silky Smooth. The Big Easy.

Yet he is one of the longest hitters on the tour. MMMM !

Makes no sense does it.

So what’s the gig? How do they do it?

Well the answer is not quite as easy as I may have inferred. But the actual move is easy. It’s what goes just before the actual move that may create some issues.

I am going to tell you where the power source is. But first a couple of warnings so that you will understand the source.

You must have done many things correct before the moment of power. Good Grip, good setup!

You must have established the two angles and kept them in tact through and into the backswing.( see previous article on angles) Your first move on your downswing must not be over the top. It should be a slight bump to the left and dropping of the right elbow to the right side.

And as you do this remember to keep your head and your shoulders back. This will help keep you on plane. The club should be on plane and on the correct inside path toward the ball. This will happen if you have made the correct first move.

I am about to tell you the move. But first listen up ! This will be impossible to do if you do not have a very good grip. If you have a weak grip, I strongly suggest that you make it at the very least neutral. But better if your left hand were more on the top of the grip of the club and your right hand matches the left. So that they work together.

There is no way, and not enough words in our language for me to express how important a good grip is to you and your golf swing. A lot of people have told me to get over it. But I have never seen a good player with a bad grip. If your left hand is on the club in a weak position there is no way you can create the correct angles that are so important. It just cannot be done.

No angles, no leverage. No leverage no power.

So if you have a poor grip and if you insist on keeping a poor grip for what ever reason, then rest assured, anything that you may learn here will not work for you.

OK.. sorry that I yelled at you.

Are you ready for the power move?

As I mentioned already you will have had to make the previous moves in your golf swing as good as you can before this will work.

Now go to a door in your home… are you there? Grab the door knob with your left hand and turn it to the left. It should have looked like this. You grab the knob and you see the back of your left hand, you turn it to the left and the back of your left hand moves left, you continue to turn and the back of your left hand turns down or under. Do this four or five times and watch the action of your left hand.

Now as you swing the club toward impact turn you left hand exactly the same way.

So that it turns down and under. Do it fast.

Practice this with little mini swings. Make sure your path is good, from the inside. And just take small swings and turn the left hand down and under at impact. Minimize your movement. No swaying and all that stuff. And make sure you finish the swing, let the arms get fully through the impact position. Don’t “cut it off”.

Just little swings to get used to the feelings.

When you do this right, there will be an effortless release of power that will shock you. No need to jump all over it. Just practice it for a while.

It is the one thing that you can do right now to get a tremendous power increase.

Now get a grip.

A Simple Golf Swing is a thing of beauty. You could actually have one too, have a look if you want more information about how to develop a consistent Simple Golf Swing and shoot in the 80’s in 14 days or less: http://www.ebooksbestbuy.com/golf

Engagement Presents & Proper Manners

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Have you ever wondered if engagement presents are customary and acceptable?Well, the giving of engagement presents by anyone other than Mark to Caroline is not customary and should not be encouraged. It is entirely a matter of personal inclination but certainly the parents and immediate families of Caroline and Mark are usually the only ones to give Caroline such presents (other than her fiance). If they are given, it should be only at a small, informal engagement announcement party where only the immediate families and close relatives are present.

And if Caroline and Mark exchange engagement presents, what is appropriate?

Since the engagement present from Mark is, traditionally, the engagement ring, any other present he gives Caroline, as well as any she gives him, should be selected for sentimental, keepsake reasons, and their choice governed by the most conventional good taste. Simple jewellery, precious or costume, furs (but never a fur coat), hand bags, luggage cases, books, are all appropriate for Caroline, and she could give Mark, with equal propriety, a cigarette case, ring, etc. But anything remotely classified as wearing apparel, intimate or utilitarian, automobiles, furniture, etc., are unreservedly taboo. If engagement gifts are made at all, they should be not too elaborate and not too intimate.

How should engagement presents be acknowledged? Caroline must send thank-you notes (hand-written on personal writing paper) to everyone from whom she receives a present (except Mark!). These notes should be mailed right after the present is received, and should be sent even though she has thanked the giver verbally.

Have you ever wondered how to use the terms Fiance or Fiancee. When Caroline and Mark have occasion to speak of the other what form do they use? In speaking of each other to friends or relatives, use the first name: “Caroline,” “Mark;” to strangers say “my fiancee,” “my fiance.”

Now what about Long Engagements? In the case of a long engagement, when Caroline and Mark must be separated, is it permissible for each to attend social events? Yes, provided they conduct themselves carefully, with strict observance of conventions.

Are there any rules about Manners for Engaged Couples?

Is there any relaxing of conventions for engaged couples? An engaged couple observes the same rules of propriety that are socially acceptable for any single man or woman. They do not stay overnight together under one roof unless some older person is also in the house. They may travel unchaperoned on the same plane, or train, or aboard the same ship, even though the trip is overnight: with separate berths. They would not be likely to travel in an automobile alone on an overnight trip. Good judgment and good taste will guide them correctly.

Engaged couples should watch their manners in public and reserve any demonstration of affection for each other for private moments.

And what about a broken engagement? How should you deal with that? What is the correct procedure when an engagement is broken? If an announcement has already appeared in the newspapers, a second notice should be sent announcing that the engagement has been broken.

Legally, the engagement ring belongs to the bride. Most people agree that a bride shows better taste to return it and any presents given her by the groom, if the engagement is called off. Should he ask her to keep the ring, she naturally wears it on her right hand from then on or possibly has the setting changed. In the event of a fiancees death, an heirloom engagement ring, or any other heirloom should be returned to his mother (or family) unless the girl is specifically asked to keep it. An engagement ring not an heirloom, or other presents from her fiance, need not be returned.

Note: A girl should realize that engagement means “intention to marry” on the part of two people and that when one or the other of the two discovers that he or she can no longer go ahead with this “intention” with a whole heart, there is no disgrace involved. It is much better to break an engagement than to proceed with doubt. A broken engagement is easier to heal than a divorce later.

What about if the Father’s Approval Is refused. What is the procedure if Caroline’s father disapproves of the marriage?

First, Caroline must decide whether she will disregard his wishes and marry anyway. If she decides to marry, the wedding will have to be informal, sponsored by another relative, or by herself. Although quiet, her wedding may still be beautiful, a memory to cherish through her years of married life.

Note: While in an earlier day a father, upon refusing consent to the marriage, might forbid the mother and other members of the immediate family to attend the wedding if his daughter disregarded his “commands,” now the disapproving parents usually attend the wedding, at least.

The Importance of Exercise Performance

Image : http://www.flickr.com

The other day, while I was finishing my workout, two veteran trainees, about 50-plus, approached me in the gym. These guys both had decent physiques, but they were not satisfied with their upper pec development. This, of course, is an all-too common problem with bodybuilders. The culprit is usually bad training techniques and poor exercise selection.

Dave, the older of the two, asked “Wade, my chest is droopy, and I’m getting a bit of pain in my shoulders when I bench, especially if I go heavy; but I want to get that development right along the collarbone. I have tried everything but I can’t figure out what I am doing wrong?”

Before I could answer, his workout partner chimed in; “I want to get more inner pec development as I have no chest separation.” Seeing that there was no escape from my two new eager pupils, I decided the best way to finish this would be, and to get to my nice suntan spot on the beach, was to help these guys out as fast as possible.

“Okay, I said. First, what are you currently doing for your exercise routine? How many sets, exercises, and what’s your rep-skies?”

Dave, the obvious leader of the two, said “We like to mix it up a bit, but mostly we start with four or five sets of bench press, then we move on to the bench machine for three or four sets, then we go to incline hammer bench, and we follow up with pec deck for about four sets of, usually higher rep ranges, in the 12 to 15 range. Lately though, my shoulder hurts when doing the benches. So, we have been doing a lot more machines, and sometimes we’ve been doing some declines. This seems to alleviate the shoulder problem.”

I said, “Show me your form on an exercise” and after demonstration, each with some big weights, I could quickly see their problems.

“First, your exercise form is way off, and second your exercise selection is definitely not going to help your problem. Which of these would you like to address first?”

Dave quipped, “Well, I think my form is pretty good, so I must be doing the wrong exercises.” I kept silent for now about the exercise form as I put together a quick-chest program to emphasize those hard-to-develop upper and inner pecs, dealing with both guys’ challenges.

“First thing is you need to use dumbbells a bit more in your workout. The problem with using barbells is that your prime movers have become too strong for your stabilizers; and this is putting your shoulder at a disadvantage. I suggest you use a pyramid system of warm-ups on the incline bench at an angle of about 30 degrees, definitely no more than 45. To start, I would use five to eight sets for five to eight reps on each side, on each week. Alternate incline barbell presses with incline dumbbell presses. I also suggest that the lower the rep range, the less sets on the exercises.”

“Why is that, Wade?”

“Well, the lower reps, in general, are more demanding on the nervous system and take longer to recover from. Incidentally, if you stick with incline bench, follow it up with incline dumbbells. By selecting exercises this way, half your chest workout is done in the same plane of motion.”

“What is the plane of motion?” asked Rick.

“The plane of motion is the line in which the bar travels, which is critical to overload the muscle in the weakest position. By doing so, this results in a stimulus that can cause the growth that we desire.”

“Wow! That sounds technical.”

“It is; but remember your workout should be as much mental as it is physical. We’ll address that area another time; but for now let’s get back to the incline bench.”

Seeing that I was getting through to my new eager students I kept going. “Now when you lower the weight down, be sure to keep the weight close to the chin, and stop the bar about one inch from the collarbone. Using only the pecs, pull your arms across your body as opposed to mindlessly pushing the weight. This makes all the difference in the world. The bar should finish right over the eyes. Only press three-quarters of the way up to keep the tension on the chest. Lock out only if you need to, i.e., in a high-rep set where you need more oxygen.”

“To keep it simple, I have a rule of thumb that I learned from my coach, over the eyes for benches and fly’s. Every time you complete a rep, the bar or the dumbbells should be over the top of your eyes. This helps to keep the tension on the pecs and off the deltoids and triceps. Here, why don’t you guys give it a try?”

Dave jumped in. I cautioned him to reduce the weight to about 70 percent of his normal, to start. I spotted him while Rick watched carefully. The first rep, he bounced the weight off the mid chest line. I said, “No, keep the movement closer to the chin, and keep the bar off the chest.” On the second rep, he managed to keep the bar off the chest, but finished the weight well away from over his eyes. As a matter-of-fact, it was over the chest line.

“Better, but you need to finish over the eyes”; shouted Rick, gleefully. He was thoroughly enjoying his training partner getting schooled by someone else, especially someone almost half his age.

Dave quickly hit the next five reps with almost perfect form. He then racked the weight, on the next set he reduced the load a bit, and then ripped off eight reps with almost perfect form. “Just a bit too much lock out.” I coached quietly. Rick quickly went back to the racks and executed eight reps with flawless form. The two went back and forth and finished up four sets before he went on to do dumbbell incline presses.

I demonstrated on dumbbell presses how to keep the forearms perpendicular to the floor at the bottom of the movement, and to arc the weights properly through the range of motion and keeping the dumbbells over the eyes of course, through the movement.

“Wow”, Rick said, “My chest if really pumped up to the max.” Dave said, “Yeah, and I haven’t felt any shoulder pain even though we’ve done three sets of this exercise plus four on the one before.” We then moved on to flat bench dumbbell blocks.

I repeated a line I have said a million times, “Most people use way too much weight with poor form, resulting in big front belts and no pecs.” Once again, I showed them how to keep the dumbbells over the eyes and not to overstretch the chest at the bottom. After reducing the weight by 50 percent from their normal working weight, they got the hang of it.

“Make sure to squeeze the pecs hard on each rep.”, I said.

Dave exclaimed, “Man, it’s half the weight but I have never felt contractions like this doing flyes.”

Rick quickly piped up, “That’s because you use too much weight.”

I had to chuckle. Yeah, we all fall victim of a little ego training every now and then, but remember, concentration is the biggest factor in training, not the weight used.

Dave said, “Yeah. I’m really seeing that I wasted a lot of years in the gym getting into the weight thing.”

Before I escaped, Rick quickly said, “Hey! One more thing, what about the inner pec lines?”

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I glanced out the window and watched as a few clouds started to roll in, covering up that beautiful sunshiny sky. It looks like my day at the beach is disappearing like the sun behind those clouds. Oh well. I headed over to the cable crossovers.

“You know, almost never have I ever seen anyone doing this exercise properly for maximum chest development. But I’m going to show you guys a few tricks I learned that will have those inner pecs totally separated in no time.” I grabbed the cables, moved to the center of the machine and stepped back one good pace. Both guys looked almost shocked.

I stated, “You know, anatomy shows us that the pecs not only move the arms across the body, but it also pulls the arms towards the body. By stepping back from the machine, I’m forced to pull the cables toward me as well as down. This puts a lot of tension right on the inner pecs, right where we want it.” I also cautioned, “The secret is to only lean over a bit. Don’t bend over as that activates the deltoids.”

Rick eagerly grabbed the cables on the next try and within a few reps he had the hang of it. Dave asked, “How fast do we do these reps?”

I stated, “Perform them slowly with moderate weights. I always felt going a little lighter I can get a better contraction through the pecs as opposed to slinging heavy weights and blowing out my shoulder joints. I also keep my reps on this exercise on the higher side as it’s more of a finishing exercise. And if you work the muscles properly through the beginning workout, these are a great pumper”. After three sets each of 15, both guys’ chests were inflated like mini-zeppelins.

“Only one more things guys before you go.” Seeing that they had almost used up an hour of my time and they were about to head out of the gym, I thought I would like to return the favor for leaving me late for my break time. “Make sure you stretch after every workout for at least five to ten minutes.”

“First thing you do is to grab a door casing or a big bar over your head and stretch the pecs by placing the hand above your head and stepping forward. Repeat this three times each side for about 30 seconds. You can also face a corner with the elbows against the wall, kind of like in a pec deck fly, and again you step forward getting a nice stretch on the pecs. One other thing you can do, if you have a partner to work with, as you guys you guys do, is sitting on a bench and have your partner pull your arms backwards while holding onto your elbows. Be sure to place a knee firmly at the back to keep from pulling your partner over and don’t over-stretch. I demonstrated the movements.

“Wow that feels great”, said Dave.

Rick exclaimed, “I think I’m even more pumped after the stretching.”

“Well that’s because stretching reduces lactic acid by flooding the stretched muscle with lots of blood and nutrients to recover, so recovery starts immediately. This also keeps you nice and flexible so you don’t walk around with tight rounded shoulders like a gorilla.” We all laughed.

“Okay guys, I’ve really got to run. We only covered a little bit today, because for a complete program, you need to alternate volume, rep ranges and exercises from week to week. I have most of my students follow a specific four-week pattern for approximately 12 to 20 weeks, where we mix up the exercise sequence and the volume as well as the rep ranges. This way we can get the most complete chest development and the fastest results possible.”

“Hey, thanks Wade, for the tips.”

“No problem guys, any time.”

I left the gym before another impromptu lesson could start.

Ahhh, the life of a trainer.

Ghost Rider the Complete Comic Collection Win/Mac

Ghost Rider the Complete Comic Collection Win/Mac A lot of comics for a low price - S. Morong - USA
…What can I say you get every Ghost rider comic from the beginning until about 5 years ago, all nicely sorted in pdf format and DRM free. This is a great deal for any enthusiast, even at half off cover price you can’t buy all these books this cheap. Great gift for any comic fan.
I have most of the GIT Corp Marvel products, and I’ve been very impressed with them. It’s too bad Marvel discontinued their license in order to launch their Marvel Digital Comics subscription service. I have both, and I like the completeness of the GIT Corp products, and the fact that you can see the ads from the original comics. Also, I can install it on a machine, and not have to worry about internet connectivity.

The Ghost Rider collection nicely collects the different volumes of the series from various decades. Ghost Rider has had different creative teams with widely different ideas about the character, so it was nice to have the complete collection to see the character’s evolution and changes. GIT Corp: 90008 The Ghost Rider: Complete Collection brings together every issue of the cult horror/supernatural comic. Stunt cyclist Johnny Blaze sold his soul to the Devil, to save the life of his best friend. In exchange, his soul was bonded to a powerful demon. Blaze became the Ghost Rider, using his power to fight demonic threats while trying to undo his curse. Years later, young Daniel Ketch met an angry spirit who sought vengeance on evil. This soul possessed Ketch & used him as the new Ghost Rider. Their adventures thrilled & shocked readers for three decades — now they’re compiled on this DVD set. Over 200 issues in all. Insulin-Dependent Diabetes and Travel

First time you’ve traveled by air since you were diagnosed with diabetes? Here are the basics every insulin-dependent diabetic needs to know before air travel.

Insulin-dependent diabetics should carry their insulin in a thermos in hand baggage on the plane. Diabetic travelers departing the United States and most other problems seldom have a problem with security inspections and are allowed to bring both insulin and syringes on board, but some airports in Europe have confiscated syringes from travelers not carrying a doctor’s prescription. In a pinch, you can probably explain that the labels your pharmacy put on the boxes your insulin came in are the same as a prescription. Diabetic travelers should also carry their glucometers so they will know for sure whether blood sugars are high, low, or normal, and every diabetic should carry glucose tablets or snacks at all times.

Generally speaking, it’s better to have blood sugars a little high than a little low when on board the plane. If you take “slow” insulin once a day, adjust the time of day you take your shot at your destination to match the time you take it at home. For instance, if you take slow insulin at 6 p.m. at home and you fly six time zones west, take your slow insulin six hours earlier (noon) while you’re on your trip. If you fly east, take your insulin later (although it’s usually OK to be late or early an hour on two). For instance, if you fly from Chicago to Moscow (nine hours east) and you usually take your slow insulin a 6 p.m., the ideal time to inject would be 3 in the morning. In those cases, early morning will probably be OK.

All diabetics need to carry diabetic identification at all times, whether a bracelet, necklace, or wallet card. Bracelets and necklaces are more likely to checked by emergency personnel. A wallet card is likely to be checked only if there has been an extreme emergency.

And if you live in a temperate or tropical climate and you are traveling to a more polar climate, get ready for unusual fluctuations in your insulin needs. Many adult diabetics with LADA or type II diabetes have some insulin production in their own bodies. Longer nights, for reasons scientists are just beginning to understand, sometimes increase that insulin production. If you live in Miami and you fly off to Norway, you may find that your sugars are lower than you would expect. Be sure to test your blood sugars even on the busiest travel days. You may enjoy your trip a whole lot more if you do.

Avoid Dehydration on the Plane and Don’t Let Traveler’s Diarrhea Spoil Your Trip. Robert Rister is the author or co-author of nine books on natural health.
